Dave was born and raised at the confluence of the Mississippi and St. Croix Rivers in Prescott, WI. His roots run deep in the community and his connections with local farmers, landowners and hunters span generations; which make him a valuable asset to his clients. And, the relationships he develops during the real estate sales process typically don’t end at closing. Dave’s land service and preparation network includes surveyors, excavators, builders, foresters and food plot experts that will help his clients maximize the potential in their property and the local deer herd. Dave, his wife Kim and their two daughters are vested members of the community and they take pride in making Prescott and the surrounding area a better place to live. The French’s are active members of the chamber of commerce and Dave has presented to local business leaders at Kiwanis group meetings. Every year, they split time volunteering as coaches, civic group leaders and they enjoy participating in Relay for Life, City of Hope Golf and Curling events and the annual Prescott Daze planning committee. Dave and Kim are also the proud owners of a successful small business that serves the needs of local businesses and sports teams in Prescott and the surrounding communities. Dave’s passion for the outdoors started at a young age when he tagged along with his father during the Wisconsin 9-day gun season at just 8 years old. From the beginning, hunting, fishing and outdoor sports have consumed Dave’s life. Although many things remain the same, whitetail hunting has evolved into a year round obsession. His preseason planning and strategizing process starts when the bow season closes. Dave spends countless hours in the field shed hunting and planting food plots. He provides minerals and supplements for the deer so they can reach their maximum potential and he uses trail cameras to help him pinpoint deer movement so he can find the optimum stand location on opening day. Whether he’s bow hunting in Wisconsin or gun hunting in Iowa, Dave takes the time to understand the terrain and deer movement so that he’s in the best position for what could be the shot of a lifetime; something his clients will appreciate when making decisions about land ownership. In 2010, Dave spent much of the fall filming hunts with Gordy Weiss for Whitetail Properties Television. In 2011, Dave plans on splitting time filming Gordy on his farm in Pepin County, WI and filming hunts on his own 200-acre family farm in Burnett County, WI. Dave uses his knowledge of local properties, extensive list of contacts, Masters level education (MBA) and his passion for whitetail hunting to help clients reach their land ownership and investment goals throughout the St. Croix River Valley.
